Taman Puring Traders to Get Three Relocation Sites

The South Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs Sub-agency (PPKUKM) has prepared three alternative sites to relocate 550 traders who were affected by the recent fire at Taman Puring Market in Kramat Pela, Kebayoran Baru.

We’ll maximize assistance for the fire-affected vendors

South Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency Head Djaharuddin said the three designated sites are the Bintaro Fostered Lokbin, PD Pasar Mampang, and PD Pasar Kebayoran Lama.

"We’ll maximize assistance for the fire-affected vendors by finding suitable alternative selling spaces for them," he expressed, Monday (11/2).

His sub-agency aims to help traders get back into business at alternative locations that meet their requirements. At the same time, the fire-hit market grounds will be converted back into a green public park.

According to the city's Online Retribution System (ROS) data used during recent municipal meetings, all 550 registered traders are undergoing verification and classification based on their place of residence.

"From those records, 375 merchants hold Jakarta ID cards, while 175 others originate from outside the capital city," he detailed.

The sub-agency plans to prioritize support for Jakarta-registered vendors through the Lokbin program. For non-Jakarta residents, arrangements will be made in coordination with Perumda Pasar Jaya through its commercial rental mechanism.

Djaharuddin added that Bintaro Lokbin can accommodate 273 open stalls. Further, Mampang Market has 93 kiosks and 37 counters ready, while Kebayoran Lama Market provides 88 kiosks, 51 counters, and 142 open stalls.

"These locations were chosen based on the availability of spaces to house the affected vendors. We also seek to accommodate their wish for group relocation so that solidarity and community among fellow traders are preserved," he added.

To facilitate the data gathering effort, a dedicated registration desk has been opened at the Kramat Pela Urban Village Office for a 10-day period starting October 29, 2026.

"At this service booth, vendors can register and indicate which relocation option best suits their needs," he added.

He noted that traders seeking these relocation facilities must meet several administrative requirements, including a Jakarta ID card (KTP), a Family Card (KK), and a Bank Jakarta account. Those who do not meet these criteria will be directed to coordinate with Perumda Pasar Jaya.

Beyond on-site registration, we plan to offer an online option so traders can easily access details and decide on alternative sites. Personnel from both the PPKUKM Sub-agency and Perumda Pasar Jaya will take part in data collection and guide them (vendors)," he added.

Djaharuddin pointed out that the planning and development of the public park remain under the purview of Jakarta Parks and City Forests Agency. In terms of progress, revitalization work on the park adjoining the market is already in progress.

Inter-agency cooperation plays a vital role in ensuring that the move goes beyond just supplying stalls, also addressing vendor requirements, location readiness, and overall business sustainability.

"Close collaboration between the PPKUKM Sub-agency, South Jakarta Municipal Government, Perumda Pasar Jaya, and related institutions is needed so that this relocation proceeds smoothly, transparently, and delivers clear certainty to the traders," he stated.
